Luxury Brand Management is course for someone who is trulinterested in what is the underlining logic of the concept “Luxury”, how they created their legends, how top tier luxury brands position themselves, and how they grow together with current trends, etc. The class itself covers a broad range of topics, from luxury apparel, luxury cars to luxury hotels.

 

Professor Denis Morisset is supper nice and very down to earth. He has extensive experiences in both luxury industry and academia. He also understands eastern and western cultures. In his class, he encourages students to step up and express their thoughts as well as bring up class discussions. There are students from all different countries with different backgrounds. It was quite interesting hearing all kinds of perspectives from the classmates.

I was looking forward to this course the most, primarily because I work in the lifestyle and luxury segment. My first impression of the course content: Great! Why are some brands more consistent than others? What distinguishes Luxury from Premium? What is the secret to the success of a Luxury Brand? And what is the difference between DNA and code? Professor Denis Morisset follows this up with great enthusiasm and shares his knowledge and experience with the students. I particularly like the way all segments are examined -‐ cosmetics, hotel chains, and spirits. A must for every fashion and lifestyle enthusiast MBA student and an excellent complement to all other Elective courses!
